Mallory Demaio-Sorise, LMSW
Officer, The Barker Welfare Foundation
Mallory DeMaio-Sorise is a member of the New York Grants Advisory Committee at The Barker Welfare Foundation where she is responsible for reviewing and evaluating non-profit organizations across the five boroughs for possible funding.
Prior to working at the Barker Welfare Foundation, DeMaio-Sorise was a grants manager at the Michael J. Fox Foundation where she was responsible for managing the workflow and efficiency of the Foundation’s granting processes and ensuring the timely and effective disbursement of funds to MJFF awardees.
DeMaio-Sorise has also served as Director of several Veteran and military-focused programs and initiatives at Services for the UnderServed, Inc. working closely with The Department of Veterans Affairs, The Department of Defense and other key veteran organizations. Additionally, she is a member of the Young Professionals Board at Breakthrough New York where she is involved in fundraising and event planning for the organization.
DeMaio-Sorise graduated from Stony Brook University with BA’s in both Psychology and Sociology. She went on to pursue her Masters in Clinical Social Work at Touro College and is a Licensed Master Social Worker.
