Manager of Volunteerism, Marriott International
Jerome Tennille of Falls Church, Virginia, serves as the Manager of Volunteerism for Marriott International championing their community service efforts. Prior to joining Marriott International, Jerome was the Senior Manager of Impact Assessment for Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), a national organization that offers help, hope, and healing to all those grieving the death of a loved one serving in America’s armed forces. He also held the position of Manager of Volunteer Services, overseeing the management of a network of 9,000 volunteers nationally. Jerome is also a veteran who served for eight years in the U.S. Navy as an intelligence specialist, during which he made two deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and the Global War on Terrorism. Jerome, is also a board of directors member of Peace Through Action USA, a non-profit located in the Greater Washington DC. Jerome holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in operations management from Arizona State University as well as a Master of Sustainability Leadership from Arizona State University. Jerome is designated Certified in Volunteer Administration (CVA), thoroughly understanding the life-cycle of volunteer recruitment, training, orientation, staffing, risk management, recognition and retention. Jerome is also trained in the Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) suicide first aid procedure.
