In April 2017, Bob Langol joined Comcast NBCUniversal as the Senior Director, Military & Veteran Affairs. A retired colonel who served in both the active Army and the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, Bob commanded at the Cavalry Troop, Tank Company and Cavalry Squadron levels. He served as an M1A1 Tank Platoon Leader in during Operation Desert Storm, and deployed to Louisiana following Hurricane Katrina. In 2008, he deployed to Egypt as commander of a cavalry squadron, serving as the USBATT commander, Multinational Force & Observers, in the Sinai Peninsula. Bob’s military education includes the Basic Airborne Course, Armor Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, the Cavalry Leaders Course, Command & General Staff Officers Course, and the U.S. Army War College. His awards include the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Service Medal with 3 oak leaf clusters, and the Humanitarian Service Medal. Bob holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Duquesne University; a Master of Public Administration from Marywood University; and a Master of Strategic Studies from the Army War College.
